i really need to have control over that funny feeling i get whenever i am asked to speak in front of a group. yesterday, i was a disaster! our trainer, charles, asked us to look for a topic on the internet and report about it after 20 minutes. there are 14 of us and i was the last one to report. i didnt have much grammatical errors or trouble pronouncing words but the worst thing happened to me. i forgot what to say. i forgot my topic. my mind went totally blank. i even spoke a phrase in the dialect which is a big no no in the call center. because i forgot what my topic was about, i asked the classmate nearest to me what my opening statements were. i was afraid i might be breaking away from my real topic. i was a mess!!
i hope i'll get medication for this kind of behavioral disorder? hehe how can i cure this..? yesterday wasnt the only time ive experienced a total mental black out..ive had lots of experience blacking out on stage or in front of people. and it's all been embarrassing. maybe i should buy some anting2x or a charm charm thingy. oh well.

yesterday was still fine. i feel like im back in elementary. we had lessons on verb tenses and the articles a, an, and the. we started tackling about pronunciation too. we produced the different sounds of A and I. i think that the instructor made a few mistakes...anyway it's all fine with me.

my classmates are nice. we get into lively chats with each other. i have this one classmate, a chemical engineering graduate, who speaks like a british! it sounds funny at times though. and looks funny too the way his lower jaw moves forward whenever he says something in the british way. hehehe

our class is filled with people from varied fields. i mentioned the chemist already. we have an engineer who came back from taiwan and is now hoping to work at convergys. we have other engineering graduates too, most of the men are. one of the guys is an hrm graduate. we have, i think 2 undergraduates who stopped school to work but will be back soon after they save enough money. we have a pharmacist. a single mom. an education graduate with a masters in education major in biology. and last but not least, an accounting graduate ahem. hehe there are 14 of us in the class. i believe that what brought all of us together must be the attractive compensation package of convergys. hehe. i think that's it. for me, that's part of it but why i chose to work at convergys is also because i am looking for a job that won't stress me out so much (while speaking english) so i can have time and the energy to study.

im looking forward to another learning session with my classmates and our very round (literally) instructor. i just wish we go back to our 6am-2pm schedule. my eyes get very red at night! if my classmates would notice that, they might think im a vampire or an addict or whatever. hehe

I started my five-day training today. wow. id say that the 8 hours went by fast and the activities we had were easy. we had a diagnostic exam and i got the highest grades. :) well, i thought the exam was easy..which is why im wondering why some of my classmates didnt pass. :(

my prospective employer is convergys, by the way. i like the office! i like the building! i like the airconditioning and the air fresheners that they spray! i like the dress code! (i like wearing formal clothes. i want to wear a suit but that would be too much..they might think im from the legal department when all i do is answer calls!) i like my employer! i like the free coffee in the pantry. and the carpeted floors! the automatic door locks! the swipe thingy on the entrance doors! the security personnel that speak english! the elevators! the air in the rooms! the glass doors! i like the rest rooms! i dont really care if i have to get up at 3am because my work starts at 6am..because i like those hours! im alive in those hours! unfortunately, the HR moved our training schedule from 6am-2pm to 2pm-10pm...i will find it hard to stay awake at 10Pm! i hope i can hold out at least for the training sessions...maybe when and if i get hired i could choose my schedule. id for sure choose the 6am-2pm!!! actually im happy working at a call center.. i get to speak english without being teased (like Ka OA oi). i like to speak the language. it doesnt mean that i like less the filipino language, of course not! i love my languages!! filipino and cebuano :) but i wanna have a mastery for this foreign language that is the most universally (as in the entire universe) accepted.

last week, i went shopping for my work clothes with my mother. i love my work clothes. they look so professional. (even though i only take calls haha) my mother is never frugal on clothes and shoes and on me! :) she loves me so. but i hope this'll be the last time she spends for what i need.. i want to be able to support myself..if i get the job, i will not ask for money anymore! i hope i get the job! instead of asking for money to buy things, i'll be giving her money and my love too! hehe di ba, bongga?
