i cant continue holding my breath. i might pass out one of these days.

we just talked today. we talked about relationships. stephen called from Alaska, USA while Sean and I was in the middle of a discussion. after answering Stephen's call, Sean's phone rang. his mother phoned him from Korea. we went back to discussing about Thailand when Stephen phoned again. so that day was phone call day.

i feel so tired. my eyebags are incredible. CILA wanted to hire me and so scheduled me for a meeting with the manager. i want to work there too. i know the pay won't be that much but at least i'd be teaching little children, cute children. so why in the world did i not go to the set meeting? i told ms. Cheryl that i completely forgot about it. well, it was true. i did forget. i remembered one hour before the time and i can't possibly go there and be late. i apologized and then she said she's going to give me another appointment. when? well, i dont know, depends on the manager's tight schedule.

Sean visited the school on wednesday. mitz and i went with him to the school museum, the swimming pool, the CaYM office and then the CM office. he had a great time especially when he met the Pasaway Boys of CaYM. also, he found his type of woman at the CaYM office..mary anne..uyyy
on thursday, i went to his house. we didn't have a class..well it was a class but was just not obvious. for the first hour, we just watched wrestling on tv. yes, we did. gosh, men are such savage beasts. but i enjoyed it though. i used to watch wrestling with my little cousin. the smackdown. it contains a lot of drama..actually i thought it was funny.
anyway, i really hate the smell of cigarette smoke in their house. they are such chain smokers. they probably contribute 50% of the world's air pollution. hahaay..
yesterday, CILA sent us a message again..they really want us, wow. theyre trying to make a special schedule for us. isnt that nice? awww...

we didn't have a class tuesday because i had to go to salon to have a change in hairstyle so people won't recognize me. wala lang. today we won't have a class because in the afternoon, Sean will visit the campus and i will have to give him a tour inside the school grounds. i wished i didn't join yesterday's supposed dry run for the SEAG. i thought it was a waste of time. now i have two straight absences in my History class. my teacher will miss me for sure. lol.

Sean is a chain smoker. when we have conversations, i can smell a mix of cigarette and coffee in his breath. their house smells of cigarette smoke. i think i'll get cancer sooner or later. maybe i should buy insurance. lol.

i have a plan. i will go to japan and study there. maybe try to win a scholarship and get a master's degree. cool. i'm dreaming again. or if not japan i'd go to germany. kaycee and i had planned it out. if the plan would not seem feasible two years from now, our back up destination would be australia. yehey..im so excited. then we'll get married to handsome white men. lol. i wish. lol.

back to Sean..his style is hip hop. he even explained to me the history of hip hop in america. gosh. he always goes out at night and come back home at 3am or 4am. gosh. he always drinks alcohol. what's so nice about him is that he has a ready smile.

i keep calling my student niall. it's so embarrassing. good that he doesn't notice. the name is sean remember that. okies. so happy..

i'm learning a lot from my Korean friend/student. in fact, im learning more from him than his learning from me. maybe i should pay him..lol
he said life is too short to spend it in sadness. gotta get up and dance. must not care. at times when you get rejected, leave. don't push yourself on somebody.
he said not to look back. you can't stop people from doing what they want. so let them live their lives and you live your life.
wow. lolz and i should listen. he's 4 years wiser.

i realize now how pathetic i've been. truly. wow. ive been wallowing in heartache, thinking about negative thoughts while the rest of the world are living their lives, being happy. i let it all affect me..my ahemm supposed job and my study.
i made my world stop but that won't keep people from liking and then loving each other.*sigh*

so no more crying, no more poring over other people's profiles, no more clinging to a lifeless toy dog( really, i know) and i gotta remove my subscription for irish jobs. those newsletters are flooding my email inbox, man.

today, Sean will rap for me and i will sing since last time we ran out of time. it's a deal.

i received my first pay on friday. im so happy. i have money now. i feel a bit guilty though because i'm not really doing something that's really challenging like preparing lesson plans or visual aids or whatever, things like that. like on friday, me, my student and his Korean friend/housemate, Gary, just sat at Starbuck's and talked. and i don't even do much talking. i listen to them most of the time. but that's what im supposed to do right? and they should practice their speaking skills, right? and anyway, i printed out idioms and tongue twisters for them hehe.
i will be absent for our monday class because i'm going to take a taxation exam (my only hope exam). on tuesday, he is going to rap for me. yo wazzup yo..lol

the Korean's english name is Sean. he is Sean Connery in my cellphone. lol

i arrived at his house at exactly 10am..well, i'm punctual in certain circumstances. his other Korean friend has to wake him up! so ten minutes later, i was talking to this sleepy head..lol but he is very talkative (after a few minutes). i would ask him about something and he would go on with a very lengthy discussion with matching examples and hand gestures and facial expressions. it's fun. half the time i just listen to him speak.

anyway, two hours slipped by quickly and it was time for me to go. "see you tomorrow..*silly grin*" oh wow, i can't believe i'm doing this. then i remembered. Sean and I have not discussed the pay rate yet and we didn't sign any kind of contract or whatever. (the latter part is fine with me anyway) but gosh, what if at the end of the week he'd give me a very small amount? or is he thinking about paying weekly or monthly or quarterly, could be yearly even?lol

i'm not comfortable about opening a discussion about money. in fact, i dont like talking about money (we talk about enough of that in my major classes) so how should i tell him. i could send a text message? but that's no good..Clang2x thinks it's okay. but i couldnt bring myself to send him a text message. what if he forgot all about it? what if he's getting amnesia the way he's been getting insomnia? lol oh well, i'll wait til the end of the week.

ok so on tuesdays and thursdays, each of us will prepare a topic to debate on. mondays, wednesdays, fridays, he will read some parts in his book. ok well, that sounds easy. i really hope it will be hehe

Cheryl from CILA sent a message offering Clang2x and I to work at CILA...what a relief! we really felt rejected when they didn't hire us immediately hehe but i can't go work there coz i have a private Korean student already plus it's six hour work. Clang2x can't fit their sched to her sched so no pwede also hmmn but that's fine..'coz we don't feel rejected anymore hehe

i'm feel happy today :)

yesterday, i sent a text message to a potential employer. Actually i had sent a message to this particular number last week using my sister's phone but i didn't get any response. so again, yesterday, using my own number, i sent a text message and received a reply about two hours later. the message from the potential employer was kind almost apologetic.
he is a Korean looking for a tutor. al i need to do is bring my CV to his house in the afternoon.
so i made my resume at Netopia (the same short resume that i had sent to earlier applications) then i contacted Clang2x and she went to Emall where i've been waiting for her. she made her resume and by 4pm we were on our way to the employer's house.
Joyce had to come along with us since Clang2x and i don't have any idea where La Hacienda, Banawa is. and Donah had to come along too because she doesn't know where else to go. lol
we stopped by the guard house and asked for the Koreans' residence. "applicants?" "yep." "you're about the 40th applicant who came here since last week." "there's been 40 applicants already? do we still have a chance at this? Do the other applicants look like professionals? like very experienced english tutors?" "yeah some of them, some look like students like you." "oh"

my class will start in 10 minutes...so anyway to make it short...that night, i got a text message saying that i was hired. so that made me very happy.

today, we had our first tutorial session..we just talked. i can't believe it. i'm getting paid just for engaging in casual conversation for two hours everyday. this is not a job. it's luxury. hehe ok it is a job..and i have to go now..im just too excited that i had to write it. lol

this blog will serve as an outlet for all my jubilations, frustrations, depressions at work. all the work induced feelings and emotions will be poured out here. but first, i have to find a job. lol

i've applied for jobs with clang2x. the both of us have been blasting companies with our 2x2 photos, application letters and short resumes. it was so much fun.

we applied for part time english tutors at CILA Cebu International Language Academy. getting to the academy was a challenge. we got lost but anyway we reached the place in time for a test and an interview. we thought we really did well. they said they'd call a week later when the CEO comes back from out of town. of course they didn't call. so we called. and got rejected. lol they said they'd call us back when they'll be needing part timers.

we called People Support too. call centers have been hiring representatives and look the bulletin board display says that we're qualified. "sorry but we have very dynamic schedules..we need full time workers at this time"

that shouldn't stop us. clang2x and i have made our class schedule start in the afternoon so that we'll be free the whole morning to earn some living.

"let's go to E-Mall and see if the stores have any vacancies."

wanted, service representative..now aren't we lucky. first, we gotta go make resumes and take pics from our digital camera, have it printed in Kodak, make the application letter and hand it to the crew on duty at that time. "i think we'd be considered for this job, clang2x...those two crews know me coz i always rent videos here. *wink*"

SM supermarket needs cashiers. "look clang2x, we qualify". wait, SM opens at 10am..travel time from SM to school is about one hour..we'll be working for two hours a day..is that ok with them?..and aren't we the ones losing here?

forwarded text message from Huan. bookkeepers needed just text this number.. that's a great opportunity! and it's related to our college course too. it can't be that hard, i mean it'll only be simple journal entries. and we've taken up accounting11 three years ago..that's all we need to be qualified. "yes, i might have to ask the owner if we'll be accepting part timers. she's still out of town. can i get your number so i can inform you?"

chowking needs cashiers. well, i don't like the sound of that..fastfood chain? oh well, it can't be that bad..but oh, look at the manager, i don't like the way he looks at us. maybe we shouldve dressed more presentably? he is so uptight. i think he's gay. (we passed resumes there too anyway)

look! tutorials/yaya position. "but what if they'll think we went in for yaya?" "no of course not. we'll make it clear that we want to be hired as tutors." "ok let's go upstairs." it's an agency! "is this even legal? what if we'll be defrauded or something like that?" they're asking money before we can fill up the form!! "let's just fill this up and sign." "that's all..don't leave a contact number." "but i had to leave my home phone number..in case of emergency, it says here." and there, signed. "oops, scribble something on top of your signature. just, well, just in case."

looking for a job is a bit exhausting. but it's so much fun and exciting too. i need to get a job so i can already start with this blog..hehe :)
